A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Renato Freitas have worked at Barton College, NC women’s soccer program as assistant coach. Coached at many clubs and High Schools in Southwest Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee. He was part of the TN ODP coaching Staff.

Played at the Professional youth Academies in Brazil for Clube Atletico Juventus (U15 Sao Paulo State Champion) and Palmeiras (U16), he then transferred to Maritimo in Portugal (U17-U18). He also played collegiate soccer in US for Carson-Newman University, as a 4 years starter (and 3 years captain, C-N Player of the Year 2003), helped the Eagles secure three consecutive South Atlantic Conference Championships from 2003-05, and 2-Regional Championships 2003 and 2005 that included a pair of trips to the NCAA Elite Eight.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Business Administration from Carson-Newman in 2005 and later obtained a Master’s in Education – Physical Education Pedagogy from East Carolina University in 2011.
2024-25 U10 boys blue team Head Coach: Champions CCSA Winter invitational, El Classico Junior tournament. Finalist Naples Classic (playing up in U11 division) & Naples Shootout, EDP Fall league Second place.
2023-24 Cyclones U9 Boys Blue Head Coach: Finalist Cape Coral Cup, Finalist at CCSA winter invitational playing up U10 & Finalist at Bradenton Cup.

Has been Cyclones head coach since 2011. Was an Assistant coach for the Cape Coral High school girls Varsity team for 2 seasons. Worked with the Excel Program 2010-2014. CCSA Club USA soccer camps staff for past 8 years.
