The team participated in the FSL and FSPL leagues this season, and also went to the Disney Showcase and the CASL showcase tournament in North Carolina, which has afforded them as well as the other players on the team with opportunities to be seen by college scouts and receive scholarship offers.

Coach Bajro is proud of these players as well as his other seniors who are graduating and thankful for the opportunity to guide and develop them as players and young men.

We thank these young men for their time with CCSA and look forward to seeing their accomplishments at the collegiate level next year.

CCSA Congratulates 6 Senior Players On Their College Acceptance and Accomplishments

CCSA would like to congratulate the following six seniors from the 2001 Girls Cyclones team. These players will continue their soccer careers in college after growing up playing for the Cape Coral Soccer Association:

Katlyn Harrison is graduating from the IB program at Cape Coral High School. She will be going to Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama to study Exercise Science and Physical Therapy.

Arianna Quintanilla is graduating from Mariner High School and will be going to St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida to study Teaching.

Ashley Watson is graduating from Ida Baker High School and will be going to Polk State College in Lakeland, Florida to study Nursing.

Two other seniors are touring schools this week but are undecided at this time.

Isabella Wilkerwicz is graduating from Bishop Verot High School and will study Liberal Arts.

Anacely Zervos is graduating from Charlotte High School and will study biology and pre-med.

These six young ladies stepped up to the challenge to lead this team when others left. They are an inspiration to their teammates and the younger players in the organization. They show that hard work and dedication to the Cape Coral Soccer Association can lead to being able to compete at the next level.

The team competed in two leagues this season, USA and FSPL, and also posted great results at the Orange Classic International Tournament and the Weston Cup Showcase.

Coach Oui Hunter stated, “I can confidently say the Cape Coral Soccer Association’s Cyclone program had an impact on these soccer players but more importantly as members in our community. As their coach, I have taught and always encouraged them to bring their best self in all aspects of life including as a student, player and community member.  They have learned many life skills during their time on the team here at CCSA that they will take with them and use much longer than their playing careers and that is the greatest gift the coaches, staff, parent supporters, and the CCSA community gave to them. I strongly believe that they are more well-rounded individuals because of their time at CCSA and as a Cyclone. I hope any young soccer player with drive, determination and a passion to become a better player and person is able to have the same chances as these amazing players have had.”

Oui continued, “These players have demonstrated the best balance of academics, athletics, family and social life. I am extremely proud, grateful and honored for my time with them as their Cyclone Coach this past season, and as Kristin’s, Arianna’s and Isabella’s coach for their last four seasons. Next season, the line-up of graduating senior soccer players who will be making these same decisions about where they will play collegiately will be just as impressive.”

Please join us in congratulating all of these ladies on their outstanding season and their time within our club. We thank them for their commitment to the CCSA organization and wish them success as they continue in the sport of soccer through college while forever representing The Cape Coral Cyclones.
