  • 2010-’11 U14 girl’s cyclones team coached by coach Felix were Presidents Cup Champions and represented the state of Florida in the National Regional Tournament in Alabama.

Coach Felix has been coaching in SWFL for over 15 years, involved with the development of recreational, competitive, and collegiate athletes and is Founder of Acosta Academy of Excellence (2014).  U23 PDL assistant coach for the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

His experience goes beyond SWFL, traveling nationally and internationally to compete, and educate himself about other soccer cultures. Some of these travels include:

  • Adidas International Training Program (2013); Real Madrid CF, Spain
  • USSF “A” License International Workshop (2015); FC Porto, Benfica, Sporting of Lisbon FC, Portugal
  • 45th Annual McDonald’s Cup and Cordial Cup (2016); Weil en Rhein, Germany and Kembs, France – First team from United States to compete in tournament, where the youth academies of Juventus, Chelsea, Olympique de Marseille, Bayer 04 Leverkusan, FC Barcelona, and eventual tournament champions Borussia Dortmund competed as well.
  • Took 2003-2004 age group boys to Costa Rica (2017) to compete in exhibitions against youth academies of professional clubs Alajuela, Belen, and Regional Select Players.
  • Austria (2018) Cordial Cup with the U15 Boys, some of  youth academies that competed Borussia Dortmund, Red Bull FuBallakademie Salzburg, Ajax Amsterdam, FSV Mainz, Yokahama Japan.
  • Peru  Dec 2018 and Dec 2019, Exhibitions games U15-U16 youth academies Alianza Lima, Universitario, Deportivo Municipal  and Attend Coaches (ANEF) Seminario Internacional

Grew up playing soccer in Fort Myers for the Lee County Strikers/Florida Premier Soccer Club.   Played for U13/U14 levels with the Florida Premier Soccer Club where we went to the State Cup Final 4.

Aceyla is one of the top up and coming coaches in SWFL.. Acelya coached with Coach Bajro Dizdarevic at camps and has assisted in CCSA Cyclones goalkeeper training since 2017.

Bishop Verot Girls Varsity Head Coach 2023- 2025:

  • 24-25: NEWS-PRESS COACH OF THE YEAR.  FACA Coach of the year. Private 8 Champions, Regional Finalist.
  • 23-24:  FACA Coach of the Year, District Champions & Private 8 Champions.

Playing Career: 

  • Played in the 2021 WPSL Semi Pro league with Cyclones and earned 2021 South Region All- Conference Team for Sunshine Conference- Southern Division.
  • 4  year started as Division 1 College Goal Keeper at Northwestern State University & Troy University.
  • Southland Conference Goalkeeper of the year x2, First- team All-Conference x2, All-Tournament Team x2, Goalkeeper of the week honors 7 times, First- Team All-Louisiana x2, and All-Academic First- Team x2.
  • Senior Year:  Student-Athlete of the year and Tournament MVP.  Hold 4 records at NSU that include: Most career shutouts, most consecutive shutouts, most shutouts in a single-season, and best goals against average.    Senior year, Shutouts (12) was ranked 2nd best in the nation.

 Started as a player with CCSA and came through Cyclones program.

Played 4 years of varsity high school soccer. Set the single-season shutout record at Mariner high school and was named All-State 2 years, All-District all 4 years. Led team to a district championship in 2018.
